SNISD,
in partnership with Liaocheng Municipal Government, convened the
International Workshop on Energy Crop Plantation and Biomass Power
Plant in Liaocheng, Shandong Province.
Participants include officials and program officers from State
Development & Reform Commission, State Forestry Administration,
Shandong Development & Reform Commission, Liaocheng Municipal
Government and World Wide Fund for Nature as well as experts from
Nanjing Forestry University, AB Enkopings Varmeverk and University
of Southern Denmark. They exchanged their views and ideas about
the feasibility to launch energy crop plantation and establish
a biomass power plant in Liaocheng.
SNISD showed a feature program NEW ENERGY, NEW HOPE broadcast
in Man & Nature of China Central Television about 2 years
ago. The film was co-produced by SNISD and CCTV in Sweden and

All those attended the workshop expressed their confidence and
support for the energy crop plantation and biomass power plant.
