We started on 9th of December, 2004. We expected to complete all 6 biogas digesters in a month. However, only 3 digesters were built before we leave. The major reason is: the laborers that the Park provided are not as skilled as required, and it is slow to train them on biogas digester construction. For example, 6 workers spent 3 days to dig a hole with diameter of 4m and depth of 2m. None of the workers is good at cement works, even some basic skills had to be taught.

Two 15m3 biogas digesters with two 3m3 gas tank have been completed in the Park Headquarter. One of them is in operation now. It produces biogas steadily thanking to the high temperature and well-organized construction. Because there is no adequate feedstock, the second digester can not start. Hopefully, there will be enough feedstock when we go back in March. The two digesters, if have adequate feedstock and well-maintained, will be able to produce enough biogas fuel for cooking for up to 30 people.

The first biogas digester in Cambodia began to work on December 28, when the fire test was successful
On the next day, cooks of the Park Office could use biogas as cooking fuel, after an LPG cooker was made a few changes and biogas tank moved up.
Everybody got excited when the blue flame occurred on the cooker.

A cook said: "it is so convenient, what I need to do is just turn on the switch and turn it off"

After this, many people came to the Park Headquarter to see biogas operation, and some of them expressed their interests in building biogas digester at their own funds.

We will build a new fuel-saving stove for the Park Headquarter. However, because they are building a new kitchen, we have to postpone to March.

After finishing the first two digesters in the Park Headquarter, the third one is built in a temple.

The digester had been completed before we leave. Monks also worked for it.

The monks asked villagers to bring cow manure to the temple.

Training material in Chinese and English.

The PowerPoint document has 269 pages and includes 5 parts:

o Basic Knowledge of Biogas
o Brief Introduction of Separate-Tank Biogas Digester
o Processing Plant (with more than 200 photos)
o Maintenance
o Comprehensive Utilization of Biogas

Two parts, namely "Processing Plant" and "Maintenance", have been translated into Cambodian language. It can be used as a guiding manual for biogas digester construction in future. Using this manual, the trainees will be able to build biogas digesters without Chinese technicians' supervision.
