Funded by the Energy Foundation and WWF, Zhan Wanli & Yin Chuntao, two SNISD program officers, attended training courses concerning renewable energy in the USA from Jan. 22 through Feb. 9 2002. They visited several green electricity projects and power plants in mid and west USA during their stay there and exchanged ideas with relevant NGOs.

The training is part of the program Green Electricity in China being carried out by SNISD. The project aims to publicize the concept of green electricity in the country and push the relevant policy-makers to establish a market mechanism of green electricity production and sales.
