Funded and coordinated by WWF, SNISD went with the Int'l Dept. of CCTV to shoot a special program about the green electricity and another about Floriade in the Netherlands from May 23 through June 3 this year. The team has six members, among which four from the Globe and Man & Nature programs and two from SNISD.

During their stay in the Netherlands, they visited WWF the Netherlands, Ministry of Economic Affairs the Netherlands, Essent Energy, Nuon Electricity, Van Melles Holding, ECN Renewable Energy in the Built Environment, Amerstfoot Solar Living Community, Floriade, etc. The team interviewed with relevant officers, renewable expert and customers of green electricity and also shot footage of the beautiful scenery in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, SNISD has exchanged ideas with relevant organizations, especially the related organizations involved in the green electricity project and NGOs, and has collected some materials about green electricity. That will help the Institute carry out the green electricity program in China.

The program about the green electricity has been broadcast in 9:25pm on Aug. 7 Wednesday 2002 in CCTV-1 and it was hosted by Zhou Tao, one of best know TV hosts in China.
